The Monument Replacement Committee continues to sell bricks and pavers to be placed at our new Fallen Veterans Monument located in DeWeese Park adjacent to the Neshoba County Library. Bricks are $125.00 and Pavers are $200.00 each.

Harris enjoying being a new mother

Bianca Harris is a new mother who loves soul food. The love for soul food started with her mother, Melissa Adams, who has had her helping in the kitchen since she was 5 years old cooking cornbread, spaghetti, homemade French fries and collard greens.

Nathan Sistrunk, the 8th grade STEM teacher at Neshoba Central Middle School, was the recipient of the Air Force Association, Meridian Chapter STEM Teacher of the Year Award.

Mrs. Lydia Manning “Granny” recently celebrated her 103rd birthday with family and friends. Granny was born April 4, 1919, to Robert and Lillian Sisson. She is loved and admired by everyone.

Philadelphia High School  announced the STAR Student for the 2021-2022 School Year.  Kameron Tucker is the STAR Student who was selected by the Mississippi Economic Council M.B.Swayze Foundation, sponsor of the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition. (STAR)  Established in 1965 the purpose of the STAR program is to recognize outstanding students and teachers in Mississippi through its Education Celebration This year's theme was Journey to the Stars.
