Three seniors from area high schools were honored as Seniors of the Month for January 2024 by the Philadelphia Rotary Club during their weekly meeting last Monday. Students of the Month are Niasia Moore, Philadelphia High School; Anna Shae Stovall, Neshoba Central High School; and Koci Jimmie, Choctaw Central High School. They were introduced by Robert Lovern, Student of the Month Chairman. As always, the club extended a special thank you to the parents, school counselors, principals, and superintendents for supporting this program.

The Rotary Club guests at the meeting were Jack Butler and Pete Peebles, co-founders of "JP Handmade Candles."

These two young entrepreneurs are high school juniors who started their candle-making business in 2022. It has grown beyond their wildest dreams! Their goal is to produce quality handmade products at an affordable price. Judging by their expansion of products and national sales records, they are meeting their goal.

Blake and Jessica Long Pickering took a “Parents Only Trip” to Jamaica recently for a "much-needed, relaxing, just-what-we-needed week away." The weather was perfect all week while the couple enjoyed touring the sights, beach time, and just doing as they pleased. It was a tropical restart after cancer life. So happy they had a great trip!
