S. A. Williamson, Jr. of Flora, known by many as SAW, passed away at his home on September 4, 2024, at the age of 94. S. A. was born December 5, 1929, in Newton County, Mississippi, the son of Selma and Jewel Williamson.

A funeral service will be held at Vernon Baptist Church Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Military honors will be held in the Church cemetery following the funeral services.

Laura Davis Barham from Clinton, Mississippi, passed away on September 8, 2024 at the age of 85. Laura enjoyed several hobbies including reading, going to church, having lunch with friends, and especially spending time with her family.
