Joyce Marie Lampe

A service to honor Joyce's life will be held at the Lynville Community Church (116 Kellis Store Ave, Lynville, MS) on Saturday, June 29th at 2pm.

Joyce Marie Lampe (Skipper), aged 95, passed away, peacefully on June 15, 2024, in Philadelphia, MS.

Joyce was a beloved mother to Philip (Shannon) and Bruce (Teresa); a cherished grandmother to Eric; a dear sister to Retha George (Romey), and Evie Jo Blackbourne (Bob); a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Evie and mother, Florence (Sanford);sister Retha George (Romey); and ex-husband Edward Lampe.

Joyce dedicated over 50 years of her life to teaching and at the age of 60 she earned a master’s degree in Special Education. Joyce received numerous teaching awards and was recognized as an expert in her field. Ms. Lampe was a Methodist by faith.
