James Roy Robinson

Graveside services for James Roy Robinson were held Monday, October 14, 2024 at 10:00 am from Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Kemper County with Rev. Russell Lee officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Robinson, 91, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024.

He was a native of Kemper County and a graduate of Lynville High School. He joined the U.S. Army and afterwards he moved to Ohio and worked for Teledyne Monarch Rubber Company. Mr. Robinson was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Kemper County.

Survivors include sons, Randy Robinson and Dale (Janet) Robinson; grandson, Brandon (Evangeline) Robinson; two great grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Burch, Roma Andreacchio, Peble Clark and Charlotte McLaurin.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Elena Robinson, second wife, Sandra Robinson; parents, H. A. and Thelma Robinson; sisters, Christine Vandevender, Glenda Mercurio, Grace Chandler, Opal Dunn, Diane Robinson, Dorothy Ball and Loraine Willoughby.
