Effie Lynn Bell

Funeral services for Ms. Effie Lynn Bell will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church with Rev. Doby Henry and Deacon Randy Jim officiating. Interment will be in Bogue Chitto Community Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 PM Monday, October 14, 2024 at Bogue Chitto CERF Building. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Bell, 73, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Anderson Baptist Hospital in Meridian, MS. She was a member of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to music, beading and Choctaw Culture activities.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Bell, Sr.; parents, Ellis Thompson, Sr. and Lena Mae Morris Thompson; sisters, Suzanne Stoliby, Nora Dean Frazier, Diane Joe Billie; brothers, Stick Thompson, Stanley Thompson, Pat Thompson, Ralph Thompson; grandson, Justin Michael Aguilar.

Survivors include daughters, Melanie Huerta Silva and Amanda Lynn Cornell; sister, Darlene Thompson; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Felipe Aguilar, Juan Zela, Cameron Samuel, Drew Lasiloo, Emmanuel Hudson, Donald Lasiloo, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Billie, Cohen Morris, Denzel Mingo.
