Melvin Goforth

Funeral services for Melvin Goforth were held Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 1 p.m.  from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Mike Perkins officiating. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery in House Community. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Goforth, 70, of Union died Monday, June 10, 2024.

Melvin was born in Memphis, TN and moved to the House Community in Neshoba County and lived there for most of his life. He was a truck driver for over 40 years. Mr. Goforth was a member of Victory Fellowship Church in the Linwood Community.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Pam Goforth; daughter, Mackenzie McManus; son, Dillon Goforth (Holly); five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Bonnie Thompson and Lisa Smith; brothers, Louis and Larry Goforth; a host of nieces, nephew and their families.

Mr. Goforth was preceded in death by parents, L.Z. and Catheline Goforth; and sister, Brenda Ellingburg.
