Summer Embry

Funeral services for Summer Embry were held on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Mike Sullivan officiating. Interment followed in the Coye Assembly Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Embry passed away at her home in Pinola, MS. on August 20, 2024.

Summer was born in Hinds County and grew up in Neshoba County. She was a graduate of Union High School and had an associate degree in nursing.  Ms. Embry was a member of First Baptist Church of Union.

Survivors include her children, Karter Brown and Marley Spears; mothers, Jennifer Petty and Mary James (Joye); father, Tim Rogers; partner, Cody Powell; sisters, Wendi, Amber and Brooke Rogers, Windie Speed, Brittany Merrill; brothers, Grady, Kenny and Billy Embry and Andrew Rogers; grandmothers; Charlotte Petty and Nellie Rogers.

Summer is preceded in death by grandfathers; Edward Petty and Roy Rogers.
