Wayne Goldman

Funeral Services for Durwood Wayne Goldman were held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from Hope Baptist Church with Dr. Kevin Clayton and Dr. Elizabeth Foy officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Goldman, 83, of Bessemer, AL died September 3, 2024

Durwood graduated from the Mississippi School for the Deaf. He gave his family and friends the gift of love through American Sign Language and he cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Nellie Sue Goldman; daughter, Sandra Goldman Edwards (Clayton); seven grandchildren;13 great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Goldman Boyles; and several nieces, nephews and their families.

Durwood was preceded in death by his parents, Irby Colquett Goldman and Martele Moore Goldman Griffin; brother, Irby Rudone Goldman; daughter, Shannon Leigh Johnson; and son, Gregory Wayne Goldman.
