Neshoba, Choctaw Central make semis

The Neshoba Central Lady Rockets move on to the semifinals of the 6A state basketball tournament after defeating Olive Branch 69-44 last week. 

The Lady Rockets take on Hancock on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The winner moves on to play either South Panola or Terry in the championship on March 2. 

Both the Choctaw Central Warriors and Lady Warriors are also one step closer to 4A state championships and will play in the semifinals. 

The Lady Warriors defeated South Pontotoc 56-27 last week and is set to play Morton at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The winner will move on to face either Tishomingo County or Quitman for the championship. 

The Warriors edged out New Albany 66-60 last week and will take on Raymond at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The winner will move on to face either Greenwood or McComb for the state title.
