Laverette Delane Williams

Funeral services for Mr. Laverette Delane Williams will be held at 2 PM Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Conehatta CERF Building with interment in Conehatta Community Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Conehatta CERF Building. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Williams, 57, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at UMMC in Jackson, MS. He is Catholic by faith. His hobbies included listening to music, watching sports, baseball, basketball, spending time with family and friends and was a big fan of Conehatta Stickball.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Williams and Martha Shoemake Williams; sisters, Carolyn J. Farmer, Clara M. Williams, Lorena Williams, Mary Williams; brothers, John H. Williams, Jackie L. Williams, Leroy Williams, Dallas R. Williams; grandparents, Rufus Williams and Nellie Solomon Williams, Buck Shoemake and Annie Billy Shoemake.

Survivors include daughter, LeAnna Charlie; son, Mitch Shoemake; sisters, Nellie Chickaway, Loretta Williams, Emaline Thompson; 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Roderick Vaughn, Kevin Routh, Keylon Johnson, Ryan Chickaway, Brandon Williams, T.J. Ben; honorary pallbearers are Billy Chickaway, Benny Thompson, Gaylon Williams, Cedric Williams, Johnny Williams.
