The Choctaw Central Warriors remained undefeated as they picked up two victories last week in prep basketball action.

Choctaw Central defeated Southeast Lauderdale 63-53 and Gentry 67-52 as they improved to 15-0.

The Choctaw Central girls entered the week with an 11-3 record. Both teams return to action on Jan. 4 when they visit the Kosciusko Whippets.

The game was close, but the Warriors had the scoring edge in all four quarters as they pulled out the win.

Choctaw Central led 17-15 after the first quarter. They outscored the Tigers 19-17 in the second quarter and led 36-32 at the half. Choctaw Central outscored the Tigers 14-10 in the third quarter and carried a 50-42 lead into the final stanza. The Warriors had a 13-11 scoring edge in the final 8 minutes to win.

Elias Bell led the Choctaw scorers with 13 points. Abram Cotton added 12 points, Thomas Tangle added 11 points, and Dreydon Tubby scored 10.

Hayden Jones scored 18 points to lead the Choctaw Central Warriors to a 15-point win over Gentry in the Tupelo classic.

The Warriors led 11-9 after the first quarter. They outscored Gentry 15-13 in the second quarter and led 26-22 at the half. Choctaw Central outscored Gentry 18-14 in the third quarter and carried a 44-36 lead into the final quarter. They put in 23 points in the fourth quarter to ice the win.

Elias Bell added 16 points, Johnny Vaughn scored 13, and Thomas Tangle added 12.
