Rockets fall short in battle against Warren Central

The Rockets fall to Warren Central in their first division game 2-3 in eight innings. It was a pitchers' duel all night long with two Rocket pitchers striking out 13 batters against the Rockets striking out eight times.  

Ryder White took the mound for the Rockets giving up two unearned runs on two hits over five innings, striking out eight and walking three. Will Williams took the loss going 2 2/3 thirds innings, giving up one run while walking two and striking out five.  

The game was tied at the end of regulation 2-2. The Rockets were not able to put any runs on the board, giving the Vikings a chance. With two outs on the board they were able to draw two walks and a single to load the bases.  The winning run came on a batter being hit by pitch scoring the winning run.

The Rockets had six hits on the evening while giving up four to the Vikings.  Errors plagued the Rockets all night. It was a close game all evening with both teams making good plays in the field to keep the scoring low.

Next up is a return of the Vikings to the Rocket field tonight at 7 p.m.
