Mississippi State’s Wesley shuts out Florida State in regional

Former Neshoba Central softball standout Aspen Wesley came through for Mississippi State Sunday as she shut out No. 2 Florida State 5-0 in the first of two games in the regional playoffs.

Wesley allowed two hits and three baserunners for the 36-25 Bulldogs. She pitched in the Bulldogs’ second game 4-3 win over Florida State an NFCA Top 3 team and its first Top-3 win since 2016. The Bull- dogs came back in the next game to beat Florida State 4-3.
