Mattie Houston

Funeral service for Mrs. Mattie Sue Houston was held on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 2 P.M. from Jerusalem Temple Church, with Bishop Stan Jones officiating. Burial was at Donald Rest Cemetery. Beck Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Houston, 73, of Philadelphia, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Elder Henry Lee Houston of Philadelphia, MS, five  children, Beatrice Johnson of Milwaukee, WI, Gerald McClendon, Derall Houston, and Jaedan Houston all of Philadelphia, MS, and Charles Triplett, Jr. of Frisco, TX, two stepchildren, Daphne Houston and Luquanda Carter, two sisters, Bonnie Moore and Shirley McClendon, 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.    

Family and friends served as pallbearers.
