Mary Lou Thomas Capps

Funeral services for Ms. Mary Lou Thomas Capps will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John E. Stephens officiating. Interment will be in Salem Baptist Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Capps, 87, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 at her home in Buhl, AL. She lived most of her life in Florence, MS. She was a Registered Nurse and Baptist by Faith. Her hobbies were playing the lottery and watching Cops on TV.

Preceded in death by her husband, Connard Capps; parents, Linzie Talley and Elma Mae Jones Smith; sons, Ricky Thomas, Kenneth Thomas; brother, Charles Talley; grandson, J.W. Thomas; friend, Robert Boothe.

Survivors are daughters, Jennie Payne, Happi Thomas (Tim Stanley); son, Jeff Thomas (Jamie); (16) grandchildren; (23) great-grandchildren; (3) great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special pet, Mea.
