A Scott County man is wanted on a warrant for domestic violence issued here after the victim was dropped off badly beaten at Neshoba General in August.

The man, Jonathan Daniel Webb, 32, is wanted by the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office for aggravated assault, according to Sheriff Eric Clark.

Clark said they are seeking the public assistance in locating Webb, who is believed to be in the area of Morton in Scott County.

“Hopefully we will make an arrest soon,” Clark said.

Clark said a call came in on Aug. 26 at 2 p.m. reporting a woman who had been badly beaten and was dropped off at Neshoba General. Deputies determined the victim had been dropped off by the man who beat her who was identified as Webb.

Clark said Webb and the victim have a child together but he does not know the extent of their relationship.

At the hospital, deputies recorded the victim’s injuries, which included severe bruising, a swelling in her left eye, and numerous marks and bruises on her arms and legs.

Clark said they were able to track Webb to Scott County after his vehicle was reported in a wreck that same day there.

Clark said he did not know if Scott County law enforcement currently had any charges on Webb but noted “they are very familiar with him.”

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Webb or any other potential crime is encouraged to call East Mississippi Crimestoppers at (855) 485-TIPS or the NCSO at (601) 656-1414.
