Edward “Ed” Withers

Funeral service for Mr. Edward “Ed” Withers was held at 10 AM Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. James McMillan, Rev. Dewayne Dickerson and Rev. Kiley Culpepper officiating. Interment in Union Church of God Cemetery in Union, MS. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Withers, 81, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 at his residence. He lived in Newton County most of his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and manager of a furniture manufacturing company. His hobbies include collecting and shooting guns and tinkering with his jeep. He was a member of Union Church of God.

Mr. Withers was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell Withers and Lodie Allen Withers; brothers, Otis, Billy Pat and Roy Withers.

Survivors: Wife, Willie Withers; daughter, Michelle Duskin (Steve Bowden); sons, Jon (Susan) Withers and Bryan (Michelle) Withers; sister, Judy (Tommy) Woods; (11) grandchildren; (14) great-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews.
