Woodlin Lewis

Funeral services for Mr. Woodlin Lewis were held at 10 AM Monday, September 30, 2024 at the Pearl River Facility Building with Rev. Eddie Peoples officiating. Interment was in Pearl River Community Cemetery. Visitation was at 9 AM Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Pearl River Facility Building. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lewis, 83, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Choctaw Health Center. He was a member of Hope Indian Baptist Church. He enjoyed drawing, reading his bible, listening to gospel music, family time, cooking and singing. His hobbies also included making traditional drums, making wood crafts, such as blow guns, rabbit sticks and stickball sticks. He was also a Choctaw Chanter.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lewis and Emma Bell Lewis; sisters, Rosie Frazier, Lou Jane Sam; brother, Walter Dean Lewis; 1 niece, Lorria Frazier; 1 nephew, Matthew Lewis.

Survivors include wife, Thallis Lewis; daughter, Jane Ben; 2 nieces, 4 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Edward Routh, Alvin Nickey, Nigel Gibson, Kent Wesley, Bobby Smith, Glen Billie. Honorary pallbearers are the Choctaw Tribal Social Dancers.
