John H. Waddell

Funeral services for John H. Waddell were held Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Mack Alford and Dr. Wayne Hill officiating. Burial followed in Linwood Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Waddell, 80, of Philadelphia died Saturday, September 28, 2024.

John was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and graduated from Philadelphia High School. He worked with PGI of Philadelphia for a few years and then was a sales clerk in the Automotive Industry until he retired. Mr. Waddell was a member of Beacon Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Brian Waddell (Brandi); grandchildren, Jacob Waddell and Whitney Berry (Russell) and Kooper Lane Darby; great-granddaughter, Riley Berry; a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Waddell was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Elbert and Callie Waddell; nine brothers, and two sisters.
