Virginia Kight

A graveside service for Virginia Kight was held Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from Cedarlawn Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mary Virginia Kight, 78, died on February 13, 2022.

“Ginger” was the firstborn to the late Marion and Raymond Clyde Clark. After graduating from Louise High School, she earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from University of Southern Mississippi and her master’s from William Carey. She spent 33 years as a public school educator.

Survivors include son Jimmy Kight; two grandchildren; sister, Lynda Luke; brother, Raymond Clark; stepsons, Ken Kight, John Kight, Wes Kight, and Rodney Kight; stepdaughter, Donna Nye.

Ms. Kight was preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Marion Clark; brother-in-law, Bobby Luke.

Donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Philadelphia, MS, or the CARE Fund in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University.
