Funeral services for Ms. Susie Comby Alex were held at 2 PM Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Pearl River CERF Building with cremation to follow. Visitation began at 10 AM Friday September 6, 2024, at Pearl River CERF Building. John E. Stephens Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Alex, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS. She lived her childhood in the Standing Pine Community, but she lived her adult life in the Pearl River Community. She was a media specialist/librarian. She was Methodist by Faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Alex; parents, Jones Comby, Rosia Isaac Comby; brothers, Willie Theo Comby, Dean Comby, and Harold Comby.

Survivors include daughters, Allie Chapman, Nancy Tubby; son, Timothy Comby; sisters, Helen Unholtz, Delores Hodridge, Annette Kizer; brothers, Jimmy Isaac, Sr., David Comby, Leonard Comby; (11) grandchildren; (11) great-grandchildren.
