Four arrests were made after a traffic stop on Highway 16 east of town Saturday night involving an SUV and a utility terrain vehicle.

The UTV driver, Jessica K. Jones, 33, 11340 Road 539, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, according to Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark.

The driver of the SUV, Robert Martin Donald, 53, 11571 Highway 16 East, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, according to Clark.

Clark said deputies encountered the pair on Highway 16 East when they ran through a stop sign on Highway 482, turning onto Highway 16 near Bobby’s Country Store on Saturday, Sept. 14, at about 11 p.m.

Janes was driving the UTV while Donald was driving Jones’s red Chevy Equinox, Clark said. Jones consented to a search of the vehicle and deputies found a felony amount of a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine in the Equinox.

Clark said Jones then gave deputies permission to search her residence on Road 539. A search of the residence resulted in the further discovery of two bags of a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and the arrests of a man and a woman.

The woman, Deneicia Carol Parks, 53, 11340 Road 539, was arrested and charged with possession of paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

The man, Jimmy Smith, 47, 10230 Road 2628, was arrested and charged with possession of paraphernalia.
