Several Neshoba County facilities are set to receive upgraded security with the installation of a new surveillance video system.

The Board of Supervisors approved the lowest bid of $129,910 from B & E Communications for the surveillance system during their regular meeting on Monday.

Other bids for the project included $156,812.44 from Howard Technology Solutions, $320,349.57 from Conference Technologies, and $638,036 from Maze LLC.

The new system will enhance security at the Neshoba County Courthouse, Justice Court, Emergency Operations Center, Unit Facility Building, Coliseum, and Burnside Park Auditorium.

“We anticipate issuing the purchase order this week and should have the system completely installed at the various facilities in approximately 90 days,” said County Administrator Jeff Mayo.
