Shauna Renee Dickens

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins, MS for Mrs. Shauna Renee Dickens, 34, of Philadelphia, MS, formerly of Collins, MS. 

Shauna passed away peacefully at Anderson Medical Center in Meridian, MS Friday night, July 24, 2020, after a seven month battle with cancer and pneumonia at the end.

Shauna was born and raised in Collins, MS. She was a Christian and love the Lord. She was an avid member of the 4-H where she participated heavily in the livestock, shooting, sports, cooking, and entomology. She was a longtime active member of the All Southern Rabbit Breeders Assoc., along with the American Rabbit Breeders Assoc. She attended school in Collins, MS from preschool thru high school where she graduated from Collins High School in 2004. She attended Jones County Jr. College where she graduated with her degree in agriculture in 2006. She then attended MS State University until 2010. She worked as Security at the College for sporting events and various activities.

Shauna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carley Dickens, Jr., Blanche Dickens Graves, and her "Poppy", William Graves, her grandfather, Terry L. Whiddon (Papa T), and her granddad, Charlie Walker; also her best friends, "Myah", "Kenzy", and "Braxton".

Shauna is survived by her husband of two years, John Ladd of Philadelphia, MS; her mother and father, Carol and Michael Dickens of Collins, MS; one sister, Becky Massengale (Brian) of Ovett, MS; her grandmother, Faye C. Whiddon of Hattiesburg, MS; mother-in-law, Gail Bozeman of Philadelphia, MS, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 11:00-12:00 noon Wednesday at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, MS.
