Ronnie Jenkins

Funeral services for Ronnie Jenkins were held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Justin Chaney and Bro. Nathan Settlemire officiating. Interment followed in the Cedarlawn Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jenkins,72, passed away Tuesday, September, 17th, 2024.

Ronnie was born in Neshoba County and was a graduate of Philadelphia High School. He was employed as a butcher for Molpus Grocery and later at Williams Brothers. He was also a city of Philadelphia Alderman for 28 years. Mr. Jenkins was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Jenkins; sisters, Joyce Houston, Brenda Nation, and Lynda Hancock (Steve); brother, Scott Jenkins (Melanie); stepsons, Richard Boykin (Lynn) and James Boykin (Regena); four grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and their families.

Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Helen Jenkins.
