The Neshoba Central Rockets improved to 6-1 on the season after a 10-0 blanking of the Morton Panthers Tuesday night and 6-5 nail-biter against the Kosciusko Whippets Thursday night.

The Rockets score three runs in the first inning, setting up for another big inning in the second. R.B. Hardin provided the fireworks in the second with Logan Collins and J. Winters on base with a powerful line drive homer to left field.

Ryder White earned the win for the Rockets. The right hander struck out 12 batters, giving up only two hits, while walking only one for the evening.

The Rockets score three runs in the first, three in the second and four runs in the fourth to close out the scoring. Hardin and J.P. Hancock had two hits while Jordan Davis, Demarkez West and Sanders Griffis all had one each.

On Thursday, the Rockets defeated the Kosciusko Whippets 6-5 in a nail-biter that came down to the final batter.

Up 6-5 with two outs, the Whippets had a runner on third base ready to tie the game but a ground out led the Rockets to victory.
