PAID POLITICAL AD/Heather Rushing Kennedy seeks election as Circuit Clerk

I am Heather Rushing Kennedy, Republican Candidate for Neshoba County Circuit Clerk. My parents are D.D. and Kathy Rushing, owners of Rushing Nursery. 

I am married to Michael Kennedy. We have two sons, Blake and Dylan. I am currently employed at Rushing Nursery where I manage the employees, talking to customers and all the ins and outs of running a business. 

A big part of the Circuit Clerk job is elections. I have been involved in elections in one form or another for 22 years. I started out being a poll manager at my local precinct at 18 until I was 25. At that time, I ran for Election Commissioner of District 4 and won. 

I have been Election Commissioner from then until December of 2022 when I had to resign to run for Circuit Clerk. I have been Chairwoman of the Election Commissioners for the past 10 years. 

As Chairwoman I oversaw the budget, made sure the payroll was correct, and ordered any materials that were needed. I have helped run elections with my fellow Commissioners, helped train poll workers for elections, worked on the voting machines, made sure the election laws were upheld, and worked hand in hand with the Circuit Clerk on things like redistricting. 

I am well versed in the SEMS system (Statewide Election Management SYstem) which you need to register voters, redistrict, and print absentee ballots from. I am the ONLY candidate that has any experience in this area of the Circuit Clerk job. 

I am responsible, hardworking, knowledgeable and ready to work for you. If elected I will be ready to start the election process as soon as I get in the office for the 2024 Presidential Primary. I humby ask for your vote. Heather Rushing Kennedy for Circuit Clerk.
