CHURCH REVIVAL

    All are invited to revival services held at Ivy Street Church of Christ from June 2-4. Services will be Sunday, June 2, at 10 a.m., Fellowship Meal from 1 p.m. to 2:50 p.m., and afternoon services starting at 3 p.m.

   The Sunday speaker will be Jerome Wilson from the William Avenue Church of Christ in Jackson, MS. Monday, June 3, at 7:30 p.m. the speaker will be Charles Warren from the Nile Church of Christ in Kosciusko, MS. Tuesday, June 4, at 7:30 p.m. the speaker will be James Salvage from the Philadelphia Church of Christ in Philadelphia, MS.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

   North Calvary Baptist Church would like to invite all youth to join us for VBS June 2–5 from 6-8 p.m. The theme is Breaker Rock Beach. 

FAIR EXHIBIT SIGNUP

   Come by the MSU Extension Service-Neshoba County office and pick up your entry forms, entry tags and exhibitor number for the Neshoba County Fair Exhibit Hall.  Youth ages 5-18 can enter items in the categories of fresh fruits and vegetables, field crops, food preservation, food-nutrition, posters, and arts and crafts.  Adult categories include fresh fruits and vegetables, field crops, food preservation, and cultural arts. The deadline to pick up your entry forms, tags and exhibitor number is Friday, July 12.  Call  601-656-4011 or come by the Extension Service office in the Neshoba County Coliseum for more information.

CHURCH CONCERT

  Cedar Hill Baptist Church is excited and pleased to have One Way Quartet in concert on Sunday, June 2 nd @ 5pm. Everyone is welcome to come out for an evening filled with worship, singing, and fellowship!

AGING PROGRAMS

   The East Central Planning and Development District/Area Agency on Aging will hold a Public Hearing for Aging Programs on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10:00 A.M.  The meeting will be held in the Board Room of the East Central Planning and Development District office building located at 280 Commercial Drive, Newton, Mississippi.

   The purpose of this hearing is to inform all interested persons and organizations about programs and services available for persons aged 60 and above in Clarke, Jasper, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Scott, and Smith Counties.  Also, the Mississippi Department of Human Services Division of Aging & Adult Services will discuss statewide initiatives for the 60+ population.

   The goals and objectives for Fiscal Year October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025 will be discussed and an update of current year activities will be presented.  Comments from the public will be welcomed.

CLASS REUNION

  The Neshoba Central class of 1962 will have their class reunion June 8th, 2024 at City Limits Restaurant, 392 Main Street, Philadelphia, Miss. At 4:30 PM. For more information call 601-953-0787.

   Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Burnside will have VBS with Bro. Tim Horton starting on May 27th and go through the 31st. Everyone is welcome to come learn, worship, and enjoy great fellowship! Refreshments to follow will be served in the fellowship hall.
