Nakeya Shunta Amos

Funeral service for Mrs. Nakeya Shunta Amos will be held at 2 PM Friday, January 6, 2023 at Redwater Gym with Bro. Thomas Ben officiating. Interment will be in the Redwater Community Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at her home, 798 New Housing Road, in Carthage, MS. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Amos, 27, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 in Philadelphia, MS. Her hobbies included spending time with family and friends, softball, stickball, basketball, volleyball, reading and fishing.

Survivors include her parents, Robin Willis, Jr and Latonya Willis; husband, Nathaniel Amos, Sr.; daughters, Denalih Amos and Denanzlee Amos; sons, Na’lijah Amos and Nathaniel Amos, Jr.; sisters, Kaitlyn Edwards, Nikilette Jim, Ahima Jim, Catherine Jim, Arabella Jim; brothers, Shawn Willis, Montero Willis, Robin Willis, III, Gavine Frazier, Hunter Edwards, McKinley Jim.

Pallbearers are Beasley Willis, Jr., Jamion Shoemake, Dwain Clemons, Keithan Billy, Winter Soloman, Dudley Cotton, Jr., Ricky Anderson, Sr., Wilson Dixon, Jr., O’Rieon Bell; honorary pallbearers are Dominic Dixon, Oden Willis, Cassins Copaddy, Jayden Comby, Josiah Wishork, Jacob Comby, Sage Dixon, Ashawn Chapman.
