Murphy Gilmer

Graveside services for Mr. Murphy Gilmer will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at New Harmony Cemetery with Rev. Neil Chadwick and Rev. John E. Stephens officiating. John E. Stephens Chapel in charge.

Mr. Gilmer, 56, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at his residence. He lived in Neshoba County all of his life. He enjoyed being a truck driver, fishing and spending time with the grandchildren. Member of New Harmony Baptist Church.

Mr. Gilmer was preceded in death by his father, Carlton Sanders Gilmer (5/6/2020); stepfather, Roy Nowell; grandparents, Bernice and Lessie Massey; grandchildren, Jayveen and Joselynn Hopson.

Mr. Gilmer is survived by his wife, Sharon Gilmer; daughter, Melanie Hopson (Johnny); son, Brandon Gilmer (Nonie); mother, Janie Nowell; sisters, Ashley Ellen Martin, Selena Kirk (Eddy); brothers, Bobby Sanders Gilmer (Janice), Mitchell Dewayne Gilmer (Laurie); (8) grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other family.
