Funeral services for Ms. Mira Kay Battiest will be held 2 PM Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Pearl River Facility Building with Rev. Thomas Ben officiating. Interment will be in New Caanan Cemetery. Visitation will begin 10 AM Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Pearl River Facility Building. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge.

Ms. Battiest, 46, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022, at UMMC In Grenada, MS. She lived in the Pearl Hill Community most of her life. She was Baptist by Faith. Her hobbies were spending time with her family and friends, fishing and cooking.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Ray Battiest Sr., Evelyn Crowder; sister, Clarissa Crowell; brothers, Emmett Ray Battiest Jr., Stephen Isaac.

Survivors include daughters, Georgina Matthews, Allatik Matthews; sisters, Jackie Matthews, Christina Marris, Lucinda Marris, Michelle Marris; brothers, Kyle Isaac, Conrad Need Jr.; (1) grandchild.
