Melba Jean Bell Smith

Funeral service for Ms. Melba Jean Bell Smith will be held at 10 AM Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Hope Indian Baptist Church with Deacon Williamson Isaac officiating. Interment will be in the MS Veterans Cemetery in Newton, MS. Visitation will be held beginning at 10 AM Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Hope Indian Baptist Church.  John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Ms.  Smith, 71, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at her home.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Smith; parents, Frank Keen Bell, Sr. and Ivenia Lewis; sisters, Annie Billy, Judy Billie, Mary Silmon; brother, Frank Bell, Jr.

Survivors include her daughters, Vanassa Smith and Priscilla Morris; brother, Harlon Dewight Bell; 7 grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Melford Smith, Vincent Smith, Sebe Smith, Tristan Ellingburg, Barry Jim, Jr., Vincent Baker, Jr.
