Mattie Ruth Kelly

Funeral services for Mattie Ruth Kelly were held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Linwood Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Skinner officiating. Burial followed in Linwood Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kelly, 81, of Union, MS, died Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Mattie was born in Neshoba County and lived here all her life. She worked at U.S. Motors, Wal-Mart and Midland Shirt Factory. She loved to cook, garden and spend time with her family.  Mrs. Kelly was a member of Linwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Gatha Skinner and Beverly Bassett; son, Eugene Franklin; stepdaughter, Kimberly Kendall; step-sons, Robby, Allen  and Chris Kelly; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Arnett and Alice Pitt.

Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by husband, James Kelly; sons, Kenneth and Bobby Franklin; great-grandson, Abram Lane Wilkerson; brother, Lavelle Harkey; parents, Augustus Harkey and Gladys Burton Wilson.
