Authorities are investigating a burglary at a wireless store last week that could be connected to similar crimes in other jurisdictions, Philadelphia Police Chief Eric Lyons said.

PPD officers are investigating a break-in that occurred at Cricket Wireless on Friday, Aug. 11, Lyons said.

Officers responded to an alarm call at about 4 a.m. at the business, located at 396 Main Street, Suite B. Upon arrival they noticed that a glass door was broken at the bottom and the alarm was going off.

Surveillance footage shows two males entering the business and stealing phones and an undisclosed amount of money, according to Lyons. One of the male suspects appears to have very distinctive tattoos on both arms.

“Officers are actively investigating the break-in,” Lyons said. “but do not currently have any suspects.”

Reports say that security camera footage shows two black male subjects dressed in all black with their faces covered climbing in and looking through the front office and back room.

Several phones were taken as well as an unknown amount of money, the authorities said.

The suspects left out the back exit door and were picked up by a white SUV.

On the same night the two suspects were also possibly involved in similar break-ins in Louisville where an AT&T store and C Spire store were broken into with a similar description of the suspects as the incident reported here, Lyons said.

“Philadelphia and Neshoba County we need your help identifying these two suspects and the owner of the white SUV,” Lyons said.

If anyone has any information about this incident is encouraged to call the Philadelphia Police Department at (601) 656-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 1-855-485-8477.
