Mary Talbert

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Talbert were held Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel.  Interment was in Antioch Cemetery. Rev. Nels Norris and Bro. Bryan Linkin officiated.

Mrs. Talbert, 71, of Collinsville, died Saturday, February 11, 2023, at her home.

She was a native of Neshoba County and longtime resident of Herbert Springs Community; and worked as bookkeeper for the family business, Elmer Talbert Trucking.  Mrs. Talbert was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.  She and her husband were members of the Philadelphia Cruiser Car Club.  She was the best wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother ever.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Elmer Talbert; daughter, Tawana Reese (Scott); grandchildren, Amanda Akins (Wade), Courtney Hancock (Brian), and Zack Partridge; great-grandchildren, Brennon, Ty and Caroline; sister, Betty Miller; brother, Ronnie Roundtree (Gaynell); numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. 

Mrs. Talbert was preceded in death by daughter, Tabitha Thompson; and parents, Ray and Mabelle Roundtree.
