Lenon “Leroy” Sims

Funeral services for Lenon “Leroy” Sims were held Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Randall Dunaway officiating. Burial followed in Eastlawn Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sims, 74, of Philadelphia died Monday, March 18, 2024.

Leroy was born and raised in Neshoba County and attended Dixon Community School.  He was drafted into the U.S. Army and also was in the MS National Guard and then worked at Weyerhaeuser as a mechanic for 42 years. Mr. Sims was a Christian by faith.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Susie Sims; daughters, Michelle Estes, and Toni Sims; four grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Wilder and Debbie Fredrick (Gary); brothers, Danny, Perry, and Ricky Sims; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and their families.

Mr. Sims was Preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mildred Sims; sister, Sandra O’Berry.
