The Leake Academy basketball teams easily swept a pair of district games last week as both squads reached the 20-win mark.

The Rebelettes improved to 23-4 as they hammered Park Place 71-29 and Lamar 61-24. 

The Rebels also took a pair of easy wins, beating Park Place 61-25 and Lamar 50-29 to improve to 20-7 on the season. 

Leake has a full week as they were scheduled to play Southeast Lauderdale at East Central on Monday and then host East Rankin on Tuesday. They will host Wayne Academy on Friday while the Leake girls will play Choctaw Central at noon on Saturday at Choctaw County in the Mid-Mississippi Classic.

Leake girls 71, 

Park Place 29

The Rebelettes outscored the Lady Crusaders in every period to take a 42-point win on Tuesday in district play.

Olivia Rudolph led Leake with 11 points, five rebounds and four steals. Katye Jones had 10 points and four rebounds while Caroline Cheatham and Jenna Allen each had eight points. Sarah Prince had six points while Anna Morgan Young and Codi Breedlove had five points apiece. 

Leake boys 61, 

Park Place 25

The Rebels outscored the Crusaders in every period and took an easy 36-point win on Tuesday in district play.

Samuel Prince led Leake with 16 points while Tate Edwards had nine points. Jack Harkins had seven points while Gage Warren had six points. Trey Clark and Majure Chandler each had five points apiece.

Leake girls 61, 

Lamar School 24

The Rebelettes dominated the first three period and cruised to a 37-point win over the Lady Raiders.

Leake outscored Lamar 16-4 in the first and 14-6 in the second to lead 30-10 at the half. Leake then poured it on in the third period, outscoring Lamar 22-3 to lead 52-13 going to the fourth. Lamar took the fourth period 11-9 for the final margin. 

Katye Jones led Leake with 16 point while Ella Bell had 13 points and six rebounds. Marliegh Myers, Anna Morgan Young and Ella Bennett each had six points apiece while Jenna Allen had five points. 

Leake boys 50, 

Lamar School 28

The Rebels outscored the Raiders in every period and took a 22-point win on Friday.

Leake outscored Lamar 15-9 in the first and 13-9 in the second to lead 28-18 at the half. Leake continued to extend the lead in the second half as they outscored Lamar 8-2 in the third and 14-8 in the fourth.

Samuel Prince led Leake with 28 points while Matthew Nowell had eight points. Ben Jackson also had six points.
