Lady Rockets destroy Warren Central 86-20

The Neshoba Central Lady Rockets have cruised to 22-1 on the season with an 86-20 landslide victory over winless Warren Central on Friday. 

Senior Erica Lyons led the squad with 16 points, followed by junior Lanayah Henry and sophomore Miley Thomas with 11 points each. Freshman Taysha Isaac and senior Nalani Thompson had 10 points each in the contest. 

Defensively, Thompson had 5 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal in the matchup. Lyons, Henry and senior Breyonce Jim each had 5 steals.

The Lady Rockets offense scored 24 points in the first quarter, 29 points in the second quarter, 19 points in the third quarter and 14 points in the final quarter. The defense did not allow double digit points in any quarter, and limited Warren Central to only 1 point in the final quarter.

Sitting at 6-0 in district play, the Lady Rockets were scheduled to take on Ridgeland Tuesday and will travel to take on Vicksburg Friday.
