The First Methodist Church invites everyone to its  Fall Fest on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

There will be a trunk-or-treat, a cake walk, games, chili, and more! Please come and join us for a night of fun!

The Mississippi Department of Education recently announced the 132 members of the 2024-2025 State Superintendent’s Advisory Council. The council includes students in grades 11-12 and the first year of college.

Congratulations to Lilly Hicks, who was selected to represent Neshoba Central High School on the council. She is the daughter of Brian and Catherine Hicks.

Custodians’ Appreciation Day concluded recently. Neshoba Central honored the district’s custodians with thanks for the work they do to keep the schools running all year long.

“Behind every great school is a caring school custodian,” officials said. The custodians were thanked for their dedication throughout the year. They were each awarded a lunch certificate that was donated.

Happy Anniversary to Jason and Crystal Cooley Willis! The couple celebrated 25 years of marriage on Oct. 9. They have three adult daughters all of whom they are very proud. Jason and Crystal are deeply involved in Jason’s ministry projects and he feels that she is a great help to him. Congratulations!

The University of Mississippi’s Wind Ensemble presented a concert last Thursday in the Gertrude C Ford Center for the Performing Arts .

Tim Oliver, Selim Giray, and Donald Trott conducted the ensemble, which is composed of students from the music department. Adam Estes played the baritone saxophone.

Among those performing in the concert was Sofia Euyoque from Philadelphia who is a student at Ole Miss majoring in music education.

She is a talented musician who also plays in the band.
