Funeral service for Ms. Helen K. Smith was held 10 AM Friday, September 3, 2021 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Dr. Randy Scarbough officiating. Burial was in Tucker Cemetery in Kemper Co. Visitation was 5-8 PM Thursday, September 2, 2021 at John E. Stephens Chapel.

Ms. Smith, 93, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at her daughter’s home. She lived in Kemper Co. most of her life. She was a member of Vardaman Baptist Church. Her hobbies were quilting and fishing.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn “Dub” Smith; son, Ray Smith; brothers, Floyd Kirkland.

Survivors included daughters, Janis Gore, Tawanna Smith (Don); son, Robert Smith (Polly); daughter-in-law, Judy Smith; sisters, Maralyn Jolly, Leila Jowers; (19) grandchildren; (26) great-grandchildren; (9) great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
