Graduates from law school

Skyler Posey Montgomery, daughter of Donnie and Jil Montgomery, graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi School of Law this May with a concentration in criminal law. 

During her time at law school, she was an active member of several organizations, including the Dean’s Leadership Council - Professional Development Committee, the Conservation Society (where she served as Events Coordinator), the Christian Legal Society, the Public Interest Law Foundation, and the Student Bar Association. 

Skyler earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from Mississippi State University in 2021. She is preparing to sit for the Tennessee bar exam in July. 

Although she will miss her home state of Mississippi, she is excited to pursue a career in criminal prosecution in Tennessee, she said.
