A visitation will be held at McClain-Hays Funeral Home on Friday, January 21st from 5:00-7:00 P.M. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 22nd, at 2:00 P.M. at Enon Baptist Church in Neshoba County.

Godly, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and daughter, Ella Dephynee Elliott, entered Heaven’s gate on January 11, 2022. Dephynee was born in Union, Mississippi on

November 1, 1934. She was married to her faithful husband, Don Elliott, for over 65 years. With her husband and God by her side, she nurtured and loved more than 50 children in the Central Mississippi Children’s Home on Deemer Road in Union, Mississippi.

Dephynee is survived by her husband, Don, and their four children, Ann Clark (Herman) from Fort Myers, Florida; Janice Libardoni (Pete) from Palm City, Florida; Linda Mitchell Maere (Rick) from Fort Myers, Florida; and Donnie Elliott (Shea) from Philadelphia, Mississippi. In addition, she was a loving grandmother to nine grandchildren, Graham and Hannah Clark, Pete and Alex Libardoni, Elliott and Trace Mitchell, Dagan Tingle, Riley and Ella Jai Elliott, as well as 15 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother J.D. Smith (Lissie) from Lake, sister Norma Tingle (Bobby) from Burns, Tennessee and sister-in-law Shelby Smith (Union).

She is preceded in death by parents, Tommy Lee and Lois Smith; brothers, L. D., Bobby Ray and Tommy Smith; sister, Bonnie Barber and niece, Brenda Rogers.

Smith (Union); sister, Bonnie Barber (Collinsville); brothers, L.C. (Union), Bobby Ray (Union), and Tommy Smith (Ocala, Florida).

Dephynee will be remembered for her generous spirit, loving hugs, genuine

smile, encouraging words, and faithful devotion to God. She will be missed by all who knew her.
