Doyle Ferguson

Doyle Ferguson passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at his home in Brandon, MS.  He was 85 years old.  The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 5:30-7:30 at Ott & Lee in Brandon, MS.  An additional visitation from 10:00- 10:45 am will precede the funeral service that will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 11:00 at Ott & Lee in Brandon, MS.  Interment will follow the service at Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS

Doyle was born on August 15, 1938, to Preston Ferguson and Sula Goldman Ferguson of Neshoba County, Mississippi.  He was raised in the Edinburg area outside of Philadelphia.  He loved his family and enjoyed tinkering outside.  He was a member of First Baptist Brandon for many years.  He enjoyed volunteering in ministry, cutting grass and helping the homebound members.  He loved outdoor activities with his brothers, son-in-law and grandson.  

Doyle is preceded in death by his parents, Preston & Sula Ferguson, and brother Pruitt Ferguson.  He is survived by the love of his life, Juanita (Nita) Copeland Ferguson of Brandon, MS.  Daughter, Melissa (Ande) Walters of Richland, MS.  Grandson, Drew (Amanda) Walters of Mount Holly, NC. Granddaughter, Hannah (Paul) Muffuletto of Brandon, MS.  Great-grandsons, Isaiah, James & Elijiah.  Sisters, Marveline Gurney of Zachary, LA. Patty Wiggins of Baytown TX, Peggy Fraizer of Yazoo City, MS, June Crow of Yazoo City, MS and brother, Terry Ferguson of Daphne, AL.  

The family would like to thank the many health professionals that have taken care him of these last few years and the staff of The Madison Health & Rehabilitation of Madison MS.
