Funeral services for Mr. Daron Ray Charlie, I were held at 2 PM Friday, September 15, 2023 at Macedonia Baptist Church with interment in Nickey Family Cemetery. Visitation was at 10 AM Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at his home, 10905 Hwy 489 in Conehatta, MS. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge.

Mr. Charlie, 61, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Ochsner-Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS. He was a member of Calvary Indian Baptist Church and enjoyed watching football games, especially MSU, playing with grandkids and doing crossword puzzles.

Mr. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Ray Charlie and Necie King; sister, Belinda Cotton; brothers, Harold Charlie, Delvin Charlie, Garth Charlie; grandson, David Anderson, Jr.

Survivors include daughters, Sonya Charlie and Jaime Nickey; sons, Aaron Charlie, Daron Ray Charlie, II; sister, Melinda Bell; half brother, Alvin Jefferson; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Pallbearers are Emerson Billy, Arrion Williamson, Dakota Anderson, Yunish Billy, Trey Jenkins, Brandon Jenkins; honorary pallbearers are Kyle Henry, Romero Thomas, Tushka Willis, Harlan Wallace, Eric Briscoe, Warren Dixon.
