Crosby replaces Kilgore on Sixth Chancery Court bench
Gov. Tate Reeves in August appointed Doug S. Crosby as Chancellor for the Sixth Chancery Court District, Place 1.
This appointment fills a vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Joseph Kilgore of Philadelphia.
“Doug will do a great job as chancellor,” said Reeves.
“His decades of legal experience will go a long way in helping him serve the people of our state. I thank him for stepping up to fill this important position.”
Crosby has been a practicing attorney since 1996. He currently serves as Attala County Youth Court Prosecutor, Attala County Prosecuting Attorney, City of Kosciusko Prosecuting Attorney, and the Sixteenth-Section School Board Attorney. Additionally, Crosby is the owner of the Law Office of Doug S. Crosby in Kosciusko and a member of the Mississippi Prosecutors Association.
The 6th District includes Neshoba, Kemper, Winston, Attala, Carroll, and Choctaw counties.
