Cliff Hamilton

Services for Mr. Cliff Hamilton, age 90, of Hattiesburg, were held Friday, February 23, 2024 at Parkway Heights United Methodist Church in Hattiesburg.  Mr. Hamilton passed from this life on February 20, 2024.  Rev. Keith Keeton and Rev. Shane Singleton officiated the service.  A graveside service was held at Unity United Methodist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville.  

Mr. Hamilton worked for many years as a tool and die maker before retiring.  His need to keep busy led him to work as a driver for Enterprise for over 20 years. He was a United States Navy veteran and a member of the Forest Hill Lodge #613 in Jackson, MS.  He was a former member of Van Winkle United Methodist Church for over 50 years and was a current member of Parkway Heights United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Janie M. Hamilton; parents, Sidney and Susie Hamilton; brothers, Hartness Hamilton and Elbia Hamilton; and sister, Inez Peebles.

He is survived by his daughter, Joy (Jason) Yates of Hattiesburg; and grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth and Annabelle Catherine.

The family would like to thank the staff at Alden Pointe for their love and care over the past several months.
