Carolyn Tew

Graveside service for Carolyn Tew were held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 2 p.m. from Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County with Bro. William Shepheard officiating.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Tew, of Louisville, died Thursday, December 15, 2022.

Carolyn was born and raised in Leake County, MS and attended Edinburg School. She worked in several production factories over the years and loved to work in her flower beds, cutting grass, fishing, her Bantam chickens and her pet turtle. She  loved her grandchildren and family.  Mrs. Tew was Baptist by faith.

Survivors include daughter, Belvia Hemphill (John); son, Rupert Tew (Cindy); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jackie McMurry; sisters, Helen Johnson (James)  and Brenda Adcock ; several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Mrs. Tew was preceded in death by husband, Jackie Tew; son, Buddy Tew; great-grandchild, Jasmine Singh; brother, Jimmy McMurry; sister, Linda Thompson.
