Born on December 5, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. He spent several years as a young boy and later teenager with his beloved grandparents in Illinois and later in Sarasota, Florida where he met his future wife, Nell. He served several years in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era and was proud to do so. He earned many commendations and awards for his service. After the Air Force he worked mostly in sales and sales management. He was District Manager for an aftermarket auto parts company which required several moves within the United States. Many friends were made due to these moves. Also, he was in management with a national Truck Bumper manufacturing company where several of his designs we still see on older trucks. At one point he was part owner of an Import New Car Dealership. Until recently he was a silent partner in another car dealership, dabbled in antiques and enjoyed spending time at the farm in Mississippi.

As a young father he raced with the SSCA in Dayton, Florida and took his three sons to watch the action. He never lost his love of beautiful cars. He enjoyed boating and attending antique car shows. He also liked to travel and took many interesting adventures while living in Europe. He always enjoyed exploring different areas of this beautiful country. After Nell’s retirement they revisited some of the places they had lived when young. Enjoyed visiting the State and National Parks.

For every hardship the need was met with much love and support from his wife of fifty-nine years and their three sons whom he loved dearly. Steve and his wife Gwen, Don and his wife and son Bill. He was a kind, gentle man and left an amazing legacy. He will be missed.
