Brenda Luke

Funeral services for Brenda Luke will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Mike Sims and Bro. Corey Luke officiating. Burial will follow in Luke Cemetery in Preston, MS. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Mrs. Luke, 67, of Preston, died Saturday, December 30, 2023.

Brenda was a native of Meridian and graduated from Jeff Davis Academy and attended Meridian Community College. She formerly worked at Citizens Bank at the Northside Branch in Philadelphia and Trustmark Bank in Meridian, and later worked as a teacher’s aide at Philadelphia Elementary School. Mrs. Luke was a member of Coy Community Church, where she formerly served as Treasurer for nine years. She loved her grandkids, animals, gardening and was a sports enthusiast.

Survivors include husband, Mark Luke of Preston; daughter, Amber Robertson (Lee) of Preston; son, Corey Luke (Libby) of Preston; grandchildren, Maddox and Ivey Kate Robertson and Tristan and Whitt Luke; sister, Roberta Johnson of Memphis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and their families.

Mrs. Luke was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Birdie Lou James; sister, Jo Ann Boothe; father and mother-in-law, Benford and Hilda Luke.

Pallbearers are, Clark Luke, Benjamin Luke, Billy Harry, David Johnson, Evan Humphries, Matt Livingston and Maddox Robertson.
